Frequently Asked Questions
No. The right length comes down to the dress code, venue and time of day. A midi works beautifully for daytime and garden weddings, while a floor-length style suits formal evening events. If the invitation does not specify, let the venue guide you. Our collection covers every length so you can find the right fit for your occasion.
Yes. Black is the most searched colour for wedding guest outfits worldwide and is widely accepted at modern Australian weddings. The main exception is cultural weddings where dark colours are associated with mourning, so it is worth keeping that in mind. For most occasions though, a well-styled black dress is a completely elegant choice.
White, ivory and cream are off limits as these are reserved for the bride. Beyond colour, avoid underdressing for the occasion, very casual fabrics and anything that pulls attention away from the bridal party. For outdoor weddings, also think practically about footwear and coverage. When in doubt, dress slightly more formal than you think you need to.
Start with the dress code on the invitation. Cocktail is the most common at Australian weddings, where a midi or knee-length dress in an occasion-worthy fabric is the right call. For Brisbane weddings in the warmer months, light breathable fabrics like chiffon or satin will carry you comfortably from ceremony to reception. Come in and see us by appointment at our Logan boutique and we will help you find the right look.
